Guess what, we had Thai food again! In fact last week, we just had Thai food at the newly open Thai Hou Sek. Well, can't help but think about Thailand and Thai Food lately as most of the FB news is about Thai King is ill and Thai peoples are praying for him by wearing pink. Sadly, after we placed our order, we both were browsing FB news while waiting for our meal to be serve. That's when the news of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej has passed away were announced (M'sia time 4.52pm, Bangkok time 3.52pm).
Modern interior inside the restaurant. I like the black and white photo frames that line up on the wall. Each photos give a different feel of Thailand~ Thai peoples, the scenery, buildings, food etc.
The Menu just like their interior ~ Black and White, infused with a little Red in between.
Absolute Thai Combo Platter @ RM34.90
The Starter which consist of 4pcs each of Golden Royal Money Bags, Thai Fish Cakes, Crispy Spring Rolls & Prawns wrapped with Wanton Skin served with Mango Salad & 2 types of dipping sauces. We both love deep dried food, so it is a perfect starter before meal for us.
Phad Thai with Prawns @ RM17.90
We both had the same choice since both of us also like Phad Thai. The Thai stir-fried rice noodle with prawns is blanket with stir fried egg when it is served.
Remove the egg blanket, squeeze some lime on it, add the chopped peanuts & some chili flakes, sitr well before start to eat. The Phad Thai taste good especially it is still remain hot thanks to the egg blanket.
Our verdict: Food are nice, staffs are friendly too! Didn't know it is a Halal Thai Restaurant (perhaps we missed out the Halal sign) till we saw Muslim patrons in the restaurant. Absolute Thai is a Thai restaurant chains that operate inside shopping malls. Up-to-today they have total 16 branches where 14 are in Klang Valley and another 2 in Johor.
