Thanks to my brother-in-law, we stayed in JW Marriott Hotel in Queensway during our 4D3N trip in Hong Kong! It is conveniently located in the heart of Hong Kong - Central district, with direct access to Admiralty MTR station (金鐘站) through the Pacific Place Shopping Mall (太古廣場). We make use of the Admiralty Station travel to various destination such as Central, Mongkok, Tsim Tsa Tsui by MTR comfortably without going under the sun or rain thanks to the link!
Our room 3221 is located at Level 32 with mountain view. The keys holder has a list of hotel facilities available printed on it for easy reference. Unlike those key card lock that commonly use -JW Marriott Hong Kong is using electronic magnetic key.
Not long after we check-in to the room, the housekeeping deliver the welcome tea & fruits into the room. Inside the basket is Chinese tea serves in teapot, with 2 tea cups alongside. What we like the most is the daily supply of the fresh fruits in the room.
Our room at Level 32 comes with partial city view & mountain view. The greenery slope is Hong Kong Park - a modern public park in the middle of the hustle bustle city with well-preserved natural landscape, historical building and sport centre. It is can be access thru the Pacific Place, a good place for joggers who likes to jog during vacation.
My first impression of the room is ~ the size is rather smaller compare to other 5-Star Hotel. But probably this size is consider spacious in Hong Kong, as Hong Kong is known as one of the ranked most expensive property city in the world. The room furnishings include a 42-inch LCD televisions with premium satellite channels & DVD players (paid movies only). A work desk with ergonomic chairs, and two single seat sofas next to the window corner.
The sofa corner is our most favourite place in the room besides the beds. The blackout drape curtains are remote-control where button pannel just next to the bed.
Another added value for this hotel is cribs/infant bed is available upon request. Bro-in-law has make a request for the crib for his 10 months old baby when he place the room-reservation.
The double beds in queen size beds is super comfy!! The beds come with pillowtop mattresses, signature bedding, and down comforters. We all have a very good sleep during the stays.
Not sure if this has something to do with Feng Shui? The curvy hallway just nicely avoid the main door & bathroom. There is a hidden closet and a full body mirror located at both side of the end of corridor.
The closet is spacious! We could store our large size luggage on the wooded luggage rack. There are also a multi-level drawers and top shelves above the cloth racks to keep stuffs.
The Bathroom however is average size of what a standard hotel would offer. Separated shower area and bathtub! Well equipped with what we needs for a bathroom.
The toiletries - besides the basic toiletries, I was happy to find the plaster and hair tie inside as I need it! It comes in on time and save my time & effort to get one out there.
Their mimi-bars comes with coffee and tea maker. The drinking water, coffee and tea are complimentary while others (all kinds of snacks and beverages including beer, wine and champagne) are chargeable.
The choice of beverages in the Cold storage. The Godiva chocolate is tempting but the price are definitely not worth to purchase here! I actually get some from Hong Kong International Airport Duty Free shop when I flew back to KL.
The Executive Lounge
Our stays also included the access to the Executive lounge at level 33 & 34 since bro-in-law is a Marriot Member. The 2 levels lounge open daily 6am-12midnight with food / drinks supply all day. The wide range of food selection that the breakfast offer is amazingly good and spoilt of choice!
From local Hong Kong style breakfast - porridge with sides, fried noodles, steam buns (pao), dimsum etc, to western breakfast where they have fruits, salad, various type of cheese, cereals, waffle & pancake station, a bakery that offer many types of breads & pastries, premium coffee maker, teas, yogurts, milks etc. We enjoy the breakfast so much and forgotten that we suppose to keep some space in our stomach, to explore more Hongkong Food out there.
Beside good foods, the lounge has an amazing view of harbour view and city view too! During our last day in Hong Kong, we spend a little time hang out at the 34th floor lounge which is more quiet and secluded compare to 33 floor, enjoy a cup of nice coffee with & cookies as snacks before leaving Hong Kong and return to Malaysia.
