The Blue Cow Cafe, Plaza Damas, Kuala Lumpur

:: Brunch with sister & family who visit us in town ::

My sister & family visit us in town and stay-over for the weekend. It's my baby nephew Wayne first trip to KL. The next day morning, we went for brunch at a nearby cafe - The blue cow cafe, located a Plaza Damas (Next to Hartamas Shopping Centre). Husband and I never been here so far after move  to this neighbourhood. Sis is the one who suggest to try out this place after searching online on what is nice to eat nearby.

If you are meat-lover, this can be your favourite meat shop! The concept is similar with Las Vacas, there is a butcher deli inside the cafe where you can get fresh quality Australian beef and lamb and local pork. The different is, Blue Cow well-known with it's homemade sausages and burger patties. Their freshly homemade sausages is the reason why we were here.

Ga Yoon (Husband's cousin sister from Korea) is gulping down a glass of iced-milo! She currently get hook with Milo after her first try haha! The restaurant ambiance is cozy and homey, recommended you get a seat at the open-air terrace at the back which has a great view of Istana Negara (Royal Palace - the official residence of the Supreme King of Malaysia). Since it is occupied with patron we did not take any photo of it.

We tried out their signature dish -Big BBQ Breakfast and Bacon and Cheese Salad.

Big BBQ Breakfast @ RM42.00
It consists of  2 eggs (we asked to made it scramble egg here), crispy bacon, handmade sausages, steak, grilled tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, egg & hash brown, come with toast. The portion is huge for 1 pax so best share among 2.

Bacon and Cheese salad!
The salad consist of fresh vegetables, cherry tomatoes, carrot strips, crispy fried bacon and shredded cheese served with an appetizing dressing.

My all time favorite ~ cappuccino!

Sis & brother in law had Big BBQ Breakfast too with extra extra eggs and toast, serve separately since they sharing with the kids. They also order a creamy mushroom soup for the kids. The homemade creamy mushroom soup is with no MSG is very creamy and rich with flavour!

Total bill cost RM189.90 for 5 adults, 1 toddler & 1 baby. Pretty pricey for breakfast / brunch. Still it's worth for a hearty meal comes with generous portion and fresh meat especially the homemade sausages. Good service from the friendly staffs too!

For your information, the restaurant is located in Plaza Damas - a shoplot complex located behind and outside of the Hartamas Shopping Centre - both have different carpark entrance. Somehow both are linked, so no big deal if you park your vehicle at the shopping centre and walk over to the restaurant.
