:: Our Christmas brunch for 2016. Merry Christmas Everyone ::
It's a Christmas Sunday! Woke up without alarm clock sound and lazy to go far, we came here for a good brunch before we decided how to spend the rest of the day on Christmas. I blogged bout Bread Fruit before 2 years ago - Read our first visit HERE. It is one of the good place to have healthy brunch with fresh and organic ingredients nearby that worth to be visit again. We brought our family members & friends here so far the verdicts on their food is all good! Despite the price slightly on the high side but that's you have to pay for a quality meal.
Surprise to find out that the place has undergo some renovation, and turn in to a restaurant with wine bars. Where has all the fruits go? lol.
It turns into an elegant place to dine-in, and more tables and seats to accommodate more patrons. However, still the gap between 2 tables still as narrow as before. We dare not speak loud or have conversation on personal matters as we afraid the next table could hear us. haha! There's one changes that I like from the renovation is they now have a long table with benches which can accommodate 8-10 pax.
Husband stick to his old choice - SatisFry-Up. He chose pork sausage (choice of pork sausage or bacon), eggs scrambled (choice of egg scrambled or sunny side up), sautéed mushrooms, roasted cherry tomatoes, mashed potato, rockets, and toast. Served with coffee or tea & juice of the day. He choose coffee (because the wife loves coffee) and asked for an upgrade to cappuccino with RM4.00 extra cost. While juice of the day is fresh watermelon juice.
I tried their 'baked' breakfast this time : Sausage, bacon, sunny side up, shimeji (mushrooms), cherry tomatoes, cheese rocket and toast. The combination set is a bit dry for me since it is 'baked'. I still prefer their SatisFry-up. Just RM5.00 different, I can get either sausage or bacon, scrambled or sunny side-up, sauteed mushroom instead of shimeji, a mashed potatoes and choice of coffee / tea and juice of the day.
Throw back the two other dish that we had in BreadFruits as below few months later :
Brunch pasta with 7 mins egg @ RM22.00
I personally love this al-dente pasta cooked with bacon, mushroom, tomato and rocket in light carbonara sauce. The 7-minute egg is the highlight of this dish - scoop out the soft boiled egg and stir it with the pasta and enjoy it! Yummy!
Spanish Baked Egg @ RM22.00
Beneath the rocket there's 3 pieces of bacon, the baked bean is not from canned baked beans but cannellini beans cooked in homemade tomato sauce, mixed with two eggs with runny yolks on both side and cheese sprinkle on top and baked till perfection. Love the combination and it goes very well with the toast!
