Hong Kong Bam Jeom | 홍콩반점, Solaris Mont' Kiara

This is not a Franchise of Hong Kong Ban Jeom that owns many chain stores in Korea. The restaurant just happened to register a similar name, but the food is as good as what Hong Kong Ban Jeom offered. <Read here for our eat in at Hong Kong Ban Jeom 0410 Plus in Busan>
Typical Korean-Chinese Restaurant decoration that you can find in Korean-Chinese restaurant especially in Incheon Chinatown.
It's our first time dine-in here, but not our first time try-out their food. Husband have been take-away their jajangmyeon and Jjampong twice as our lunch at home after Sunday service. Because the food is good, we keep coming back for the same food!
Jjampong @ RM26.00 Husband like their Jjampong and he said this is one of the best Jjampong that we can get in town. Jjamppong is a Korean spicy noodle soup with seafood and gochugaru. The amount of seafood that use to cook this bowl of Jjampong definitely worth the price we are paying for!

Absolute Thai, 1 Utama Shopping Centre

Guess what, we had Thai food again! In fact last week, we just had Thai food at the newly open Thai Hou Sek. Well, can't help but think about Thailand and Thai Food lately as most of the FB news is about Thai King is ill and Thai peoples are praying for him by wearing pink. Sadly, after we placed our order, we both were browsing FB news while waiting for our meal to be serve. That's when the news of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej has passed away were announced  (M'sia time 4.52pm, Bangkok time 3.52pm).
Modern interior inside the restaurant. I like the black and white photo frames that line up on the wall. Each photos give a different feel of Thailand~ Thai peoples, the scenery, buildings, food etc.
It's still too early for dinner time (we were here 5.20pm), plus it's weekday. The restaurant is empty and not many customers unlike weekend it is always full house and have to wait for table.

The Menu just like their interior ~ Black and White, infused with a little …

Eomuk Dwenjang guk | 어묵 된장국 | Korean Fish Cake Soybean Paste Soup

When my family and I visited Korea in year 2014, My 외숙모 (Mother in law's brother's wife) cook us this Eomuk dwenjang guk for breakfast meal and we all like it very much! It's one of the simple & fast ready soup made with Korean fish cake & vegetables. There are various vegetables that can goes well with this Omuk dwenjang guk such as beansprout, radish and spinach. Here I am using enoki mushroom.

Ingredient (2-3 Servings):
3 pieces of Eomuk (Korean Fish Cake) 1/2 Onion 1 pack of Enoki mushroom 1 stalk of Spring Onion 1 Red or Green Chili pepper
2 Tablespoon Dwenjang (Soybean Paste)
1 teaspoon of Gochujang (Chili pepper paste) - Optional 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic 2.5 cups of water

How to cook:
Step 1. Cut the fish cake into bite size (1 piece can cut into 16 small pieces). Thinly slice the 1/2 onion, minced the garlic to 1 teaspoon worth, chopped the spring onion and chili pepper, then halve the enoki mushroom (which already washed and chop-off the root part)

Step 2. In…

Thai Hou Sek | 泰好食, 1 Utama Shopping Centre

We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary with food as usual. This time we try the newly open Thai restaurant in Old Wing, 1 Utama. Husband is looking for Tomyam and wife is okay with  anything as long as it is authentic Thai Food. There is a queue but we are lucky to get a seat immediately since we don't mind to be seated outside.
While waiting for food, our eyes browse around the interior - A quote on the wall next to the single Thai King Face Illustration caught my attention "Eat like a King, Love Food, Hate Waste". Another side of the wall, Thai posters including Thai King's faces were all over the wall. The neon-lit elephant in the center of the wall reminds me of night life in Thailand!
The waiter who seat us is friendly and attentive (compare to other staffs). After our meal, he ask us if there is anything we wish highlight or need improvement, also invite us to like their Facebook page. Later when I check out Thai Hou Sek Facebook page, this waiter apparen…
