We have been frequent patronized Daorae ever since they open their first restaurant in Penang. We even held our Engagement private lunch event at Daorae in year 2010. The reason why we like to go Daorae is because of their service! Regardless which branch we visit, the service still remain good and food taste is consistent. The reason why their service is good, because Daorae's motto is "The customer is Always Right". This is taken at Daorae Plus, Solaris Mont' Kiara branch during our first visit.
Branches that we have been visit before are Daorae Penang branch (both Tanjung Tokong & Daorae Bayan Baru), Daorae Puchong Bandar Puteri, Daorae USJ Taipan, Daorae Desa Sri Hartamas, Daorae Plus Solaris Mont' Kiara and the newly open Daorae Seremban branch. Most of the people go Daorae normally will have the Korean BBQ. While for us, we had Korean BBQ only when there is a friends or family gathering. Most of the time it is just two of us, so we prefer to have Korean meal, like Jiggae and rice. Sharing with you some of the dish that we like the most at Daorae.
Daorae Plus, Solaris Mont' Kiara
First visit - after we place order, a bowl of fresh salad with citrus juice dressing were served as appertizer. Shortly after the side dishes served, including this Korean pancake (jeon) in heart shape while waiting for our meals ready.
Bibim Naengmyeon | 비빔 냉면 (RM20.00)
Korean Spicy Mixed Cold Noodle, using buckwheat noodles served with a spicy dressing made from gochujang (red chili paste) and sliced vegetables, mixed well before eat. A bowl of the soup broth used in mul naengmyeon is served too - to be added into the sauce to make it more savory and not so dry.
Mul Naengmyeon |물 냉면 (RM20.00)
Cold buckwheat noodles in a chilled broth (dongchimi) with various toppings such as thinly sliced cucumbers, pears and a half hard-boiled egg. A dap of yellow mustard and vinegar will be provided as extra flavaour. A popular Korean dish in summer which we always take to reduce body heat during hottest day in Malaysia.
Sik-hye | 식혜
After dinner, we were given Korean sweet rice punch as dessert (free of charge). Sik-hye (or read as Sik-kye) is a traditional Korean beverage made with barley malt powder called Yeot-gireum (엿기름) and rice.
Gul-Bo-ssam | 굴보쌈 (RM45.00)
Second visit - we share Gul-Bossam meanwhile husband also had a bowl of Bibim Naengmyeon. Gul is oyster and Bossam is a pork dish where pork belly are boiled in spices and thinly sliced after cooked. It served with side dishes which include garlic, chilli pepper, salted napa cabbage, Musaengchae (Spicy Korean Radish Salad), ssamjang (wrap sauce) and saeujeot (pickled, fermented shrimp). The oyster is mixed in the Musaengchae here. To eat Bossam, just wrap the meat and the veggie side dish like how you eat Samgyeopsal or Korean BBQ.
Samgyetang | 삼계탕 (RM35.00)
I'm not sure if this is our third visit, because some of the time if what we had is repeated I will not take photo. Husband have Samgyetang and I have dolsot bibimbap. The meat of spring chicken that use for samgyetang is dry and not so chewy, overall it is still taste good except husband is not so satisfy with his "chicken-meat".
Dolsot Bibimbap | 돌솥 비빔밥 (RM22.00)
My dinner ~ Dolsot Bibimbap. Dolsot means individually cooked vegetables beautifully arranged in a stone bowl, top with an egg yolk and served in Hot Stone bowl. While Bibimbap is mixed rice. Before eating, mix everything together with Gochujang (Korean Chilli Paste). I like Dolsot bibimbap because the hot stone bowl is heated upon served, and you will found the rice at the bottom will turn golden crispy if left it for a minute before mixed everything well.

Daorae, Desa Sri Hartamas
Taken on our first visit to Daorae, Desa Sri Hartamas. Husband choose this Japchae Bokkuem bap for me while he is having Galbitang.
Japchae Bokkuembap | 잡채 볶음밥 (RM20.00)
Stir fried glass noodles with assorted vegetables mixed with fried rice, top with a big prawn. This is one of my favorite dish in Daorae as it taste really good though I have allergy to seafood.
Gal-bi-tang | 갈비탕 (RM20.00)This is husband's favorites: Beef Short Ribs Soup, made primarily from beef short ribs along with stewing beef, daikon and green onions. Best way to eat it is is put a few dash black pepper before eat.
Our second visit, husband had Galbi-tang again as you can in the picture haha! So I don't take close-up picture of Galbi-tang since I have already taken once.
Yuk-gae-jang | 육개장 (RM19.00)
Yukgaejang was husband's favourite for once. If I say favorite, meaning he will continue have it for several times. This time, I am the one eat Yukgaejang. Yukgaejang is a spicy Korean Beef Soup made from shredded beef brisket, gosari (bracken fern), green onion, chili powder, garlic, perilla seeds, seasoned with soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, black pepper and salt. Served with a bowl of rice. Normally we like to add the rice into the soup and eat together with soup like gukbap.
