I Love Yumcha | 我愛飲茶, Plaza Menjalara, Kepong [PERMANENTLY CLOSED]

We usually like to have "dim-sum" at Damansara area. This time we try this "I love yumcha" located at Manjalara, Kepong after read the reviews and most of the eater commented the dim-sum is handmade and fresh. Also, it is pretty near from home, just about 10-15 minutes drive. We use GPS to lead us here. The restaurant is easy to be spot because of their huge red signboard with "I love yumcha". Abundant parking space is available since many shops are off for business on Sunday.

It is around 9.30 am.. the restaurant is pack with customers mostly are family. We were lucky there is a table for two available when we walk-in. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The staff is attentive too!

We were given the menu and a clip board with the self-service menu for us to place our order.

Husband wanted to try their wantan mee but too bad it is only available during lunch time.

Beside places order via the self-service menu, there are this lady who push the mobile cart around with the steamed and fried dim sum. The fried dim-sum cart lady first approved us after we sit down, so we choose 2 types of fried dim-sum from the cart for our first round.

Honey BBQ Pork Puff 蜜汁叉燒酥 (RM4.80)
The honey barbecue minced pork coated with the crispy fluffy crust layer topped with sesame seeds is delicious! Totally worth the the value.

Fried Mango Prawns 芒果虾 (RM5.50)
Husband choose this Deep Fried Mango Prawns. It taste even better when we dipped with mayonnaise before eat. We love this new dish that we never try.

Thai Style Smoked Bacon Roll 泰式烟肉卷 (RM6.00)
The Bacon just melt in our tough the moment we put into our mouth. Meat lover husband finish 2 in a blink! haha ..

Salted Egg Siew Mai 咸蛋烧卖 (RM4.80)
The Siew Mai taste fresh! The only thing is I can't really taste the Salted egg. I guess that little chunk of salted egg on top of the Siew Mai has loose it's taste after steam. Overall it taste like ordinary siew mai that we always have.

Lo Mai Kai with abalone slice 鲍片糯米鸡
Their Lo Mai Kai taste is slightly different from the Lo Mai Kai that I always have. There are more sweet barbecue minced pork on it so it taste slightly sweet.

The restaurant is using the Kampung Koh Garlic Chili Sauce which goes very well with dim-sum. Generally, consider the generous portion of the dim-sum that they are serving, the price is reasonable and value for money. Dimsum are fresh and you can tell it is homemade as it is less salty. We will come back again to try their other dimsum next time.
