[CLOSED DOWN] Desa Sri Hartamas, Dae Bok Jang / Dae Jang Guem Korean Restaurant

Husband & I always go to Dae Bok Jang  / Dae Jang Guem whenever we craving for Jajjangmyeon. We also often dine in here whenever there is a gathering with friends and family. On one fine Sunday noon Jo came visit me at MK after she moved down to KL. So I bought her here for an early birthday lunch to celebrate her upcoming bday! 

Jo's first time eat Jajjangmyeon (Korean dark soya sauce noddle). A bowl of Jajjangmyeon cost RM18. Husband often go for large size which is RM20+.  


If you order Jajjangmyeon only, they won't serve you side dish like this. Jajjangmyeon only served with radish pickled, onion slices and dark soya sauce where you can dip the pickled or onion slices before put into your mouth. (That's how Korean eat Jajjangmyeon!)

The reason why we have side dishes (pan-chan) is because we order Sundubu Jjigae (Korean soft tofu stew). Jo loves Sundubu jigae so it is a must order food. It served with white rice but we didn't took the rice as a bowl of Jajjangmyeon is enough to make our stomach full! 

Can't believe we can finish everything including the Sundubu Jjigae! I'm glad Jo like it and hopefully we will have meal like this sometimes again! Happy Pig-day Jo :D
