Penang, Ingolf's Kneipe German Restaurant & Bar

We went back to Penang on a weekend for business appointment. I recall a friend of mine posted a picture of having this butchers platter at Ingolf's Kneipe German Restaurant in Facebook, so tempting! So hubby and I decided to go for a dinner at Ingolf's after we done our appointment.

We were sitting at first floor. Downstairs was fully occupied since it is dinner time. In the past when we still live in Penang, there were a few times we wanted to have lunch here at Ingolf but they were closed due to they are short of staff. Luckily they are open at dinner time and there are seats available. Ya, sometimes you need to wait for the table for at least half an hour in order to dine in here.

It's husband's first time dine in at Ingolf. I have been to Ingolf several times mostly were here for lunch with colleagues and friends.

A cup of cappuccino for me & Iced lemon tea for him while waiting for our platter to be served. The young man (who seems like is the owner's son) told us we might have to wait for a while since they are short of staff.

Huge German butchers Platter!
Yeah, we order the German Butchers Platter (which can be serve for 2 or 3 pax) ~ consists of one piece of chicken, country and pork sausage, roasted pork belly, two nuernbergers and chipolatas, grilled turkey bacon, ham, pork chop, pork patties, chicken meatloaf, served with sauerkraut, crispy criss cut potatoes, onion sauce and mustard.

When the platter served, we were like OMG! It is really huge portion for 2-3 pax. Luckily I stop my hubby from order an extra salad earlier! In the end, we ask to take-away almost half of the portion as our supper. But we never take it as supper that night, too much meat in our stomach lol~
